Washing Stations

The washing station is usually in a small enclave near the dining room where you can have your family and guests wash for the seudah without having to go into your kitchen.  Because this area is usually quite small you can really go all out with your choices in backsplash and counter top material.  Some people like to have their washing stations right next to the table...

Built in with the bookcases
I love the curved design here

Others prefer it to be outside the dining area...

The counter top here is Corian.
They added a built in soap dispenser

You can design your washing station with storage underneath to house your hand towels. In this person's home, the space underneath is used for extra Pesach storage.

To keep costs down you can design it with a floating counter top and no cabinets underneath.  If you are already getting granite or Ceasarstone in the kitchen you may have a piece leftover to use for this purpose.

The extra thick granite edge hides the plumbing

Here are a few more pictures to help inspire your choices with the washing station...

There is a great place I heard about to find faucets, sinks, vanities, tiles (as well as a number of other things).   My friend Aviva gave me this good advice...

"This store is the best! theoutlet.co.il  It's located in Kibbutz Gezer, a few minutes outside Modiin.
No need to go there though. I usually call and describe what I want and then they walk me thru their website looking at the various options and then they deliver. Their price can literally be 1/3 the price of what you see in the ceramic stores around here. literally."

If you have a washing station that you are proud of please send me a picture!
